Chennai High Court issued the judgement in the defamation case filed by Mansoor Ali Khan against Trisha, Chiranjeevi and Khushbu. Earlier, Khan courted controversy by making degrading remarks about acting with Trisha in a press meet. He faced a severe backlash from the fans.
Trisha stood up against him. Many top celebrities including Chiranjeevi and Khushbu came in support of Trisha. While the problem took a legal path, Mansoor apologised to Trisha and concluded the matter. However, he filed a defamation lawsuit in Chennai High Court later against Trisha, Chiranjeevi and Khushbu, seeking Rs 1 crore.
When this case came up for hearing yesterday, the judge said that it is human nature to voice out when demeaning comments are made about a woman. The judge dismissed Mansoor Ali Khan's petition and imposed a fine of one lakh rupees for wasting the court's time. He was directed to pay the fine to the Adyar Cancer Hospital in Chennai within two weeks.
