We already brought to you that Mansoor Ali Khan filed a defamation case against Trisha and two others following the controversy of his sexist remarks on the actress. Now, the case has been argued in the court and the judge has condemned actor Mansoor Ali Khan for filing the lawsuit.
Mansoor Ali Khan made a demeaning statement regarding acting with Trisha in a press meet earlier following which he faced massive backlash from the actress, celebrities, fans, actors association and the National Commission for Women. The police filed a case but the actress forgave him after he made a public apology to her.
However, Mansoor Ali Khan denied later that he didn't apologise to Trisha. He also sued Trisha and her supporters Chiranjeevi and Khushbu for defaming his name without confirming or assessing the accuracy of his statement. When the case came up for hearing in the Madras High Court today, the judge questioned, "Why did you file a case when the victim Trisha herself is silent?"
The judge told Mansoor Ali Khan's lawyer to ask him, "Can an actor behave like this in public when many young people follow him as a role model?" The court also questioned why Mansoor made an unconditional apology when he claimed that he didn't say anything wrong. Mansoor's lawyers argued that Trisha should delete her post about him on the X site.
Trisha's side said that they didn't understand why Mansoor was continuing the case when the victim herself was silent. Following this, the judge adjourned the case after ordering Trisha, Khushbu and Chiranjeevi to respond to Mansoor Ali Khan's petition. This has caught the attention of fans and netizens today.
