Manchu Mohan Babu has found himself in legal trouble, facing an arrest warrant in an attempt-to-murder case. He approached the Telangana High Court seeking anticipatory bail, requesting a stay on his arrest until Monday.
However, the court declined to issue an interim order and directed him to file an affidavit confirming his presence before making any decisions. The next hearing is scheduled for Monday.
Addressing the incident at his Jalpally residence, Mohan Babu clarified that he did not intend to harm the journalist. He expressed regret for the unintentional incident and apologized to the journalists. Last week, Mohan Babu and his son, Manchu Vishnu, visited the injured journalist at Somajiguda Yashoda Hospital and personally apologized to the journalist's family.
As part of the ongoing investigation and a precautionary measure amid escalating family disputes, Mohan Babu surrendered his licensed double-barrel gun to the Chandragiri police through his PRO. His son Manoj also complied with the police directive by surrendering his firearm.
