'Hello Guru Prema Kosame', which hit the screens this Thursday amid not-so-favourble reviews, reportedly mopped up a distributor share of Rs. 3.75 Cr in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana put together. This is beyond what 'Unnadi Okate Zindagi', Ram Pothineni's previous film, had collected on Day 1.

Produced by Dil Raju, the film needs to pick up the pace in the coming days if it has to give break-even to its stakeholders. Initial ground reports suggest that the audience are enjoying the comedy scenes and that's about it. Ram's comic timing and his chemistry with Prakash Raj are a big plus.

While the makers had boasted that 95 percent of the film is funny, it turns out the second half is far more serious than was expected. Director Trinadha Rao Nakkina's hero-uncle formula has not found its mojo this time.
