Hey
Sarath Kumar, who played the role of an honest police officer in his last film Gambheeram, takes on the role of a youth fighting dishonest police officers in his new venture Hey.
No prizes for guessing what the movie is all about. When asked about the film, Sarath Kumar says, 'the movie is about a youth fighting against atrocities of police. I am confident that the film would appeal to the masses. The title itself is quite different and very catchy'.
Not just playing the lead role, Sarath Kumar has also rendered a song along with Vadivelu and Paravai Muniamma. Sarath Kumar says, 'thanks to music-director Srikanth Deva, I have rendered a number in the movie, which I am confident would hit the charts'. Asked what's catchy in an action movie, Sarath says, the highlight of the movie is a stunt sequence in a police station, where I fight nude'.
Produced by V Sekar, who had directed many films including Onna Irukka Kathukanum, Varavu Ettana Selavu Pathanna, Porantha Veeda Puguntha Veeda and directed by Dum- fame Venkatesh, Hey is a treat for action-lovers.
According to Sekar, 'when I decided to produce the movie with Sarath Kumar in the lead, the actor himself suggested Venkatesh. Though I was initially hesitant, he has proved to be a producer's director now and I am impressed with the way the movie has come out so far'.
Venkatesh, who directed a movie Maha Prabhu with Sarath Kumar a few years ago, says, 'Sarath has given his best in stunt sequences in Hey. With Engal Anna fame Namidha in the cast, thre is not just action but glamour too in the movie.
Also in the cast include Vadivelu, Kalabhavan Mani, Kotta Srinivasa Rao, Livingston, Paravai Muniamma. The movie is to be released next June.
