From the time of its inception, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has been facing constant problems for his dream project ‘Heroine’.

Latest is that the trailer of Kareena Kapoor starrer has attracted wrath from the audience in Middle East, especially Dubai.

In certain scene of the film’s trailer, Kareena while addressing to media says a dialogue that goes - , "Heroine ne gaadi li toh business man ne gift kiya... aur God forbid Dubai gayi, toh uska rate card ban jaata hai."

And this is the reason why the overseas audience are enraged, because the line shows their city in bad light.

Some from the media section has expressed their displeasure and called Bhandarkar as ignorant by using such dialogue which apparently in a way portrays Dubai as a hub of flesh trade.

They said to have even lashed out at him saying that Dubai which is a huge fan of the director’s award-winning films, has always welcomed his films to be screened there, but then, Bhandarkar seems to have let them all down with such reference in his latest project ‘Heroine’.

Following this, the makers of ‘Heroine’ have now decided to edit out the word ‘Dubai’ from the copy of the film that will be screened in United Arab Emirates; either by muting the word or replacing it with something else.
