'Heroine' has Madhur's 'tadka' of sensationalism - Kareena

'Heroine' releases today and all eyes are on how far would Kareena Kapoor and Madhur Bhandarkar take this film forward.
Since this also comes with a tag of being a 'female centric' film (for obvious reasons), audience, industry as well as critics are waiting to see if the film makes it four in a row after 'Raaz 3', 'Kahaani' and 'The Dirty Picture' which were again brought to audience on the name of their leading ladies.
Since 'Heroine' too follows similar promotional strategy and has Kareena Kapoor driving from the front, one does presume that it must be giving the leading lady certain kick.
Well honestly, I am not looking at it that way. I stepped into the film just because I wanted to be a part of this story. I wanted to be a part of Madhur's cinema since he makes different films.
Just like I have liked working in Imtiaz's and Karan's films since they have a world of their own, same has been the case with 'Heroine' as well.
I am grateful about the fact that I am playing the central protagonist in 'Heroine'; now I hope audience appreciates the film as well.
Given the fact that audience are looking for something engaging indeed in 'Heroine', one does expect the leading lady and her director to have upped the entertainment quotient.
Of course Madhur's 'tadka' of sensationalism is all there, smiles Kareena, He isn't someone who makes dull films. So yes, of course the entertainment level is quite high here.
Moreover dialogues by Niranjan (Iyengar) have taken the film to a different level altogether.
Now she is hoping that the film turns out to be an ideal birthday gift for her.
Yeah, why not, smiles Kareena, Madhur and I have given our best. Now that the film is releasing on my birthday, I just hope that it works with the audience.
