Actor Srikanth is all set to play lead role in A M Ratnam's next venture to be directed by cinematographer K V Anand. Prashant was asked whether he would play the villain in the movie, as it is a powerful role in the film.

Though Prashanth was impressed with the character when it was narrated to him, he backed out since he was busy with his other commitments. Prashanth was also not ready to take chances and experiment when he has a career going as a hero.

The offer has now gone to Malayalam actor Prithviraj. He joins the league of Malayalam actors making entry into Tamil.

For Prithviraj, finding himself in the midst of several controversies in Malayalam, this is indeed a big break.
