Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has appreciated 'Chinna Babu' ('Kadaikutty Singham' in Tamil) as the best family entertainer he has seen in recent times.

Saying that the film gives primacy to farming and family system, he added that it also highlights the need to show compassion towards livestock. The VP also commented that the Karthi-starrer also talks about the discrimination against girl children in our society. "I congratulate director Pandiraj, producer Suriya and actor Karthi for making the film for both Telugu and Tamil audiences," Naidu tweeted.

He remarked that 'Chinna Babu' is the one film he has seen in recent times that is sans vulgarity. He praised the family drama for presenting in an entertaining manner rural customs, traditions, etc.

Thanking the VP, Suriya said, "Sir truly honoured!! A leader of your stature took time to pay attention to our efforts means the world to us... Our team is overwhelmed by your gesture and inspired to make cinema a value based entertainment."
