Here is why 'Katamarayudu' is a hit in Chennai

'Katamarayudu' has been declared a hit in Chennai. The mass entertainer has been screened in 14 theaters across Chennai in its first weekend. The film had 104 shows screened in three days and with that the film has collected Rs.32,80,170 with 85% occupancy.

Box Office pundits call it a 'Very Good Opening' for a direct Telugu film in Chennai.

The film has been promoted well by Ajith's fans as it's a remake of 'Veeram'. Posters featuring the Tamil actor on the posters of 'Katamarayudu' have been put across various localities. Power Star Pawan Kalyan seems to be widening his footprint in the metro.
