Niharika Konidela's Tamil debut hit the screens this Friday. Titled 'Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren', which literally means 'I will let you know when the time is right', this one stars Vijay Sethupathi and Gautham Karthik in other key roles.
The Mega Princess gets to play a meaty role in her Kollywood 'arangetram'. As Soumiya, she plays a chirpy girl who falls in love with Harish (Gautham Karthik), only to be kidnapped by Yeman (Vijay). What happens next makes for a hilarious watch.
If the tone of her character in 'Oka Manasu' was mature, high-brow and even serious-minded, in 'ONNPS', she is both a lively college girl in the first half and a damsel in a semi-distressed mode (while also maintaining a light expression on her face) in the second half. In the latter portions, she gets more screen time than even Gautham Karthik. Her chemistry with both these actors is interesting.
Once again, the Mega heroine comes off as a natural who is largely effortless. No wonder that the film critics have dubbed it a decent debut.
About the movie:
Directed by Arumuga Kumar, 'Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren' is an adventure comedy drama. Music is by Justin Prabhakaran, whose BGM is quite organic. Sree Saravanan's cinematography and R Govindaraj's editing go a long way in making it a technically superior entertainer.
A screenplay-based movie, it's a laugh riot with its situational comedy. The film opened to positive reviews on Friday.
