Akkineni Nagarjuna's 'Wild Dog', a thriller, has finally announced its release date. More than two months after theatres were reopened fully in the Telugu States, the film has zeroed in on its release date.

This one will hit the screens on April 2.

"We thought of releasing it directly on OTT. But the success of Krack and Uppena made us pull back from OTT," Nagarjuna said on Monday evening.

The film is about a team of the National Investigation Agency. Nagarjuna's character is not highlighted at the expense of other characters. A real life terror attack that rocked Hyderabad and how the NIA team traces them is what the action thriller is about. The team's secret mission will see flourishes of patriotism in terms of dialogue.

Directed by Ahishor Solomon (a newbie), the film has the male lead as a NIA specialist.

Dia Mirza, Saiyami Kher, Atul Kulkarni, Ali Reza, Bilal Hossein, Prakash Sudarshan, Mayank Parakh, Rudra Pradeep, Anish Kuruvilla, KC Shankar, Shawar Ali and Avijit Dutt are part of the cast.

Music (BGM) is by Thaman. This song-less film has cinematography by Shaneil Deo of 'Kshanam' fame. Action choreography is by Sham Kaushal and David Ismalone of 'Fast & Furious 7' and 'A Man Will Rise' fame. Murali SV and Yugandhar T have taken care of production design and VFX Supervision.
