'Love Story', starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, completed its shoot early this year. A good portion of the dance-based rom-com was shot during the pandemic.

When the film went on the floors in August last, coronavirus fears were high. Cases were surging across the country. This is when Sekhar Kammula, the film's star director, came up with a strategic plan to ensure that nobody gets infected. Right from the hero-heroine duo to the last person on the set, everyone benefited from his stringent policy on the sets.

It's learned that Kammula had mandated that everyone working on the movie has to undergo a RT-PCR test two days before joining the set. Only if the result was negative, would they be let in. Usually, Rapid Antigen tests, which are said to be less reliable, have been the norm in the film industry.

Kammula would also ensure that the whole set is sanitised regularly. From masking up to using face shields, PPE kits and sanitization of individuals, everything was followed to the T, a source says.

As many as 95 individuals working on 'Love Story' were insured for Rs 3 lakh against coronavirus. A hospitalized individual would receive insurance if infected with coronavirus. Thanks to the covid discpline, nobody got infected and nobody had to resort to medical insurance.

The film was supposed to release on April 16. Its new date will be announced in May or June.
