'Adipurush' has been shot in Mumbai since February 2. Director Om Raut is working with a host of junior artists. Small actors such as Sunny Singh of Bollywood, too, have joined the shoot. The epic 3D actioner, which is VFX-heavy, will hit the screens in August 2022.
Nag Ashwin, who will wield the megaphone for a science-fiction film with Prabhas as the hero, feels that 'Adipurush' is going to help his movie. How? He explains that 'Adipurush', being a film based on the Ramayana, is going to have a penetrating reach across the length and breadth of the country. Everyone in the country relates to Lord Rama, Goddess Sita and their story of trials and tribulations. The 'Mahanati' director is of the view that 'Adipurush' will only increase Prabhas' market and, as a result, his sci-fi will get 30% greater reach.
This is a believable assessment. 'Adipurush' would be more awaited, especially in rural areas, than a sci-fi. Nag Ashwin has also confirmed that his untitled film will not go on the floors before June this year.
Meanwhile, Prabhas' 'Radhe Shyam' will release on July 30. It will be followed by the release of 'Salaar', which is directed by Prashanth Neel.
