Actress turned politician Hema Malini recently shared her opinion on the ongoing hijab controversy in Karnataka. Apparently, a group of Muslim students was denied entry in a govt college in Udupi district because they were wearing hijabs. Ever since then, protests and demostrations are going on in the state against this decision and in its favour as well.
According to a recent tweet by ANI, Hema Malini stated that all students must conform to the uniforms of their institutions. She said, "Schools are for education and religious matters should not be taken there. Every school has a uniform that should be respected. You can wear whatever you want outside the school.”
Few days back, a video of some boys harrassing a girl with hijab had went viral on social media. Reacting on rhe same, actress Richa Chadda had tweeted, "Raise your sons better! A bunch of ugly, cowards attacking a lone woman in a pack and feeling proud of it? WHAT LOSERS! Shameful. They'll be jobless, more frustrated and penniless in a few years. What poor upbringing! No sympathy, no redemption for them. I spit on your kind."
