In our country, politicians love boasting about their non existent achievements and they do so by making senseless and irrational statements. Couple days ago, a Maharashtra minister made a crass comment on actress and politician Hema Malini while boasting about the quality of roads in his constituency. The politician named Gulab Patil said that roads in his constituency are as smooth as Hema Malini's cheeks.

Hema Malini has recently responded to this demeaning comment and she gave a befitting reply without directly indulging in a conversation with the politician. In a statement given to ANI, she said, “A trend of such statements was started by Lalu Ji years ago and many people have followed this trend. Such comments are not in a good taste.”

She further added, "One should not do this. If normal people are talking such things, you cannot adjust that, but if a Member of Parliament or anybody connected to our constituency (says), I don’t think it is in good taste. Any woman should not be used for saying such things."
