High Court's strict decision about two wheeler helmets
Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
The Madras High Court has insisted that the Tamil Nadu government should act swiftly to ensure that all two wheeler riders wear helmets compulsorily and strict action should be taken on those who violate the rules. The court expressed its dissatisfaction over the lethargy shown by the TN goverment questioning whether it was enough to just pass a government order.
It is now mandatory that the pillion rider also should wear helmets and the court has given time till October 23rd for the government to reply regarding the enforcement of the helmet rule. It has been reported that head injuries are the major cause of deaths in two wheeler accidents where riders and the pillions have been killed in the state. Viewers better take heed and carry an extra helmet as you might never know when you have to drop a friend or take him or her for a coffee and run into a waiting traffic cop.
