Today the WiFi has become an indispensable part of our everyday lives and this very newstory would not have gotten through to you without the help of it. An amazing fact is that an initial version of the WiFi technology was patented by legendary Hollywood glam actress Hedy Lamarr several decades ago.

Hedy Lamarr born in Czechoslovakia created a sensation in 1933 by appearing nude in the film 'Ecstacy' later moved to Hollywood and made it big there once called as the most beautiful woman in the world. Her famous films include 'Crossroads', 'Samson and Delilah' and 'The Strange Woman' among others. She died at the age of 85 in 2000 and the sad thing is she never earned a single dime for helping invent the WiFi which is used by almost everyone in the world today.
