The Andhra Pradesh government has extended half-a-day schools till June 22 in view of the continuing spells of heat waves across the State. Not just in the Telugu State, things are no better in northern States like Bihar. As reported by a news agency, "All government and government-aided schools in Bihar to remain closed till June 22 in view of prevailing heatwave conditions." The situation is direr up the Vindhyas, where monsoons take weeks longer to reach.
As per @praddy06, heat wave conditions are worrisome in Tamil Nadu. "Chennai, Puducherry, Cuddalore, Nagai and all areas in Northern coastal district and nearby districts like, Vellore, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Villupuram, Thanjavur will sizzle with 40 + temperature. Heat wave will finally relent in Chennai and Tamil Nadu after 20th June," he says.
This Summer has witnessed so many deaths due to heat waves. The country has never had it so bad in recent years.
