In a shocking incident, a resident in Chennai – Geetha, an actor by profession woke up to the noise of a wailing baby outside her house. Later it was found that the baby was crying from a storm drain in the morning hours of the Independance day.

Even the umbilical chord of the baby was wrapped around its neck which was pulled out. Geetha cleaned the baby dried and gave first aid following which it was taken to the Egmore government hospital.  And since the baby came to their house on Independence day, Geetha had decided to name it as Suthanthiram which means ‘independence’. 

Another surprising thing to know is that Geetha’s daughter who is married for seven years has not child and this has come as a blessing. Geetha assured that she and her daughter will take care of the child and raise it well if they get the baby.
