When a dancer becomes an actor he will be confused as to what he should concentrate on.

Prabhu Deva went through that confusion.

When an actor turns director he will be confused as to what he should concentrate on.

Prabhu Deva does not have that confusion.

But when you have spectacular winner like NVNV you will never have any misgivings.

The choreographer-turned-actor-turned-director says that he now has his plans firmly in place. The soft-talking Prabhu Deva says he wants to concentrate on direction only.

And as a pointer, he has started concentrating on his next venture named Pournami. That will also be produced by the hot shot M S Raju and will star the sensational Prabhas.

In a sense, Pournami is a good title as it reflects Prabhu Deva's own career. Like a new moon, he started from scratch and as a full moon, he is rounded and complete.

It is a completeness that has taken time to complete. There were times in between when the mercurial actor was riven with self-doubts. But he overcame that with his perseverance. NVNV, he says, was a victory for teamwork. But every one in the unit says that his own creative inputs were vital for the film's success.

Prabhu Deva after his dalliance with acting now seems to have rediscovered himself.

He now knows his direction, in more ways than one.
