Mollywood actor Babu Antony is currently shooting for Mani Ratnam’s ambitious multi-lingual project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. The film boasts of one of the biggest star cast ever in Indian cinema with actors from various industries in it. Babu Antony will be seen playing an ancient king named Kotikan in the film. A day ago, the actor took to his social media handle to pen a note on his experience working with Chiyaan Vikram. As you know, Babu Antony and Vikram had earlier worked together in the movie 'Street'.
Sharing a selfie with Vikram, Babu Antony wrote that the Kollywood star is the same as before - humble and nice. “It was a great pleasure working with Vikram again. The last time we worked was in a movie called Street. We could not take any pictures in locations here since we were in costumes. When I told him that we need to take a snap, he came to my room. We shared a lot of fond memories. He also gave his regards to my boys and wife. He is still the same old Vikram, humble and nice” Babu Antony wrote. The picture has taken social media by storm. Earlier, he had also posted a selfie with actress Aishwarya Lekshmi, who plays 'Poonguzhali' in PS.
Based on the historical Tamil novel of the same name written by Kalki Krishnamurthy, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ cast comprises big names such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, Vikram Prabhu, Parthiban, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Lal, Rahman, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu and many others. Director Mani Ratnam has adapted the screenplay along with Jeyamohan and Kumaravel. Music is by AR Rahman and Ravi Varman wields the camera.
