This Sankranthi release is already on its way to become a big hit of the year.
So Venkatesh, who endured a dry 2005, has started the year in just about the right fashion.
In some ways VenkateshÂs predicament was no different from Sourav GangulyÂs. Like in the case of the former captain of the Indian cricket team, Venky was seen to be over the hill and his position among the elite stars was questioned.
But Venky, who is very spiritual and philosophical these days, bided his time with calmness of a Zen monk. He knew his time would come.
Now it has and Lakshmi leads the Sankranthi releases with spirited opening collection.
The Trade is unanimous is confirming the film to be a top grosser.
