Evergreen heroine Jyothika is celebrating her 44th birthday today and celebrities and fans are showering best wishes on social media. The veteran actress after her comeback in 2015 with '36 Vayadhinile' has been concentrating more on female centric subjects.

After a long gap Jyothika is playing the lead role in a Malayalam movie with megastar Mammootty in the lead role. The title of the film has now been announced as 'Kaathal: The Core' and the first look poster features the lead pair in retro looks.

'Kaathal The Core' is directed by Jeo Baby of 'The Great Indian Kitchen' fame with a screenplay by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria. Mammootty is producing the film under his banner Mammootty Kampany. The project will go on floors and will be wrapped up in one schedule by the end of the year.
