The coronavirus pandemic that is forcing people to stay indoors has taught many lessons about the value of nature, family bonding and other ethics. At the same time there is a darker side to people that is deadlier than any virus. It has been reported in the tourist country Hawaii that landlords are seeking sexual favours for forfeiting rents.

Hawaii is badly affected as the country is dependant on tourist inflow which has been disrupted and when women text landlords regarding delay in paying rents the wily men start sending suggestive messages and photos. Some are even offering to move in with the female tenants

Khara Jabola-Carolus, executive director of the Hawaii State Commission on the Status of Women, said her office has received more complaints these past two weeks than the past two years. There are also predictions that the sexual harassments from landlords will be even more as many lose their jobs and have to delay rent payments.
