The Hathras rape incident has shocked the whole nation, and the body of the 18 year old woman who was raped was burnt by Hathras police officers who blocked her parents from seeing her body as well.

This horrible incident has lead to huge criticism on social media, and people have been urging the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath to step down. Slamming the entire system as insensitive, singer Chinmayi has tweeted a strong statement.

Chinmayi has tweeted "I honestly did not think an entire system would be *this* insensitive in responding to a case where the Police forcibly burn the body of a victim overnight. What in God’s name changed since Nirbhaya? How is this supposed to make women feel safer?".
