The hat trick of success is anxiously awaited from 'Dubai Babu' (a remake of Telugu film 'Dubai Seenu') by producer Shailendra Babu, real star Upendra and director Naganna. This combination in the past gave two successful films 'Kutumba and Gowramma' and joined together in 'Dubai Babu' that had completed 70 percent of shoot with two beautiful looking Nikitha and Saloni as heroines. It is from this film Upendra long time professional colleague actor producer Kumar Govind is back in action. Veteran Dwarakish is also in Upendra film for the first time and he is playing his counterpart Brahmanandam had done in Telugu. Anil Jhaveri is the new technician to head the camera from this film and he comes from Mumbai hiring all the camera equipments from Hyderabad.

Shooting for 12 days in Mumbai producer Shailendra Babu had to incur Rs.60 lakhs. Had it been in foreign location my expenses would have been for similar days Rs.10 lakhs says Babu. It is a great coincidence that producer name is also a part of the title of the cinema. Shailendra Babu a highly respected producer in Kannada cinema is looking for break. He has suffered huge losses from his previous film 'Ganda Hendathi and a boy friend'. But the courage in him to take up challenges is in tact. 'Dubai Babu' is the most expensive of all the films from Shailendra Productions. He is looking for hat trick in the combination of Upendra and director Naganna.

Kumar Govind is returning in his friend Upendra film after 'Sh…which he produced in 1993 feels very happy to be a par of this film 'Dubai Babu'. He is charged up with new ideas with his friend Upendra and looking for a massive project in the direction of Upendra.

Upendra is equally happy to join his friend Kumar Govind as he had given him food in the past in the early stages of his life. 'Dubai Babu' is a mixture of all commercial elements and this will be a wholesome entertainer says the confident Upendra who is sitting pretty with marvelous results of 'Budhivantha' that is heading for all time record collection and still running in 90 theatres of Karnataka to packed houses. The success of 'Budhivantha' has also given a lesson for me says Upendra and the need of the audiences should be the core factor he has understood from 'Budhivantha'.

Actress Nikitha regarded as very talented heroine in Kannada films too is playing the radio jockey role in 'Dubai Babu'. Her film 'Vamshi' brought very good standing to professional career and 'Rajakumari' is yet to release. Saloni who played opposite Upendra in 'Budhivantha' is a counterpart to Kumar Govind in 'Dubai Babu'.
