The 82 years Prof KS Nissar Ahmed known as ‘Nithyotsava’ poet and pun filled poems in his long career has been very rarely part of Kannada film events. His songs are used in films, Kurigalu Saar Kurigalu….became three series film in Kannada as title.

At the HS Venkateshamurthy debut direction at 74 years ‘Hasiru Ribbon’ Prof Nissar Ahmed was jovial, frank in his admissions. The crowded gathering on Wednesday evening inside and outside the Suchitra Film Society was eager to hear to his speech.

HSV came to me in Mysuru wearing ‘Chaddi’ with a few poems. I was surprised with his knowledge. In the later days he went ahead with many more literary works. It is Da Ra Bendre and Pu Ti Narasimhachar gems in literature are found in his great contribution. Looking at BR Lakshman Rao sitting before the dais Prof Ahmed said he is ‘ChelChellu’ in his songs while HSV is of different form. Hey Lakshman don’t get angry said the professor. Where is this Lakshminarayana Bhatta, he is younger to me, he should have stayed till I speak mentioned the learned professor and later appreciated the review strength of literary works in Narahalli Balasubramanyam.

On the huge response what HSV got, Prof Ahmed admitted he did not get such huge response. Looking at Rakshit Shetty he said he had not seen his film. He knows only one person in cinema that is Dr Rajakumar. I was told to meet you by my daughter looking at invitation mentioned Prof Ahmed.
