The social media is agog with the rumours of actor Suriya converting to Islam after a video of him praying in a mosque went viral on the internet. In the video, we can see Suriya dressed in a traditional Muslim attire and perform some prayers.

However, when we contacted official sources of Suriya, we were informed that the video was taken during the shooting of Singam 2` which was happening near Kadappa. Apparently, Suriya was invited by A.R, Rahman to a special event in a famous mosque in Kadappa, and the video was taken at that time. Hope this puts an end to all baseless rumors.
