Its very well known that Super Star Rajnikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamlahassan the two icons of Tamil Cinema, share a long lasting bond even as their fans were waging wars against each other until the last decade. The sexagenarians who are still fit in competing with today’s young crop of heroes and still considered as the actors capable of pouring in collections in Indian and overseas film business have received so many laurels for their contributions.

While Rajnikanth has been honoured with the Padma Vibushan award, the highest order of the Padma awards, his contemporary star was honored with Padma Sri in 1990. With Kamal receiving yet another Padma award in the form of Padma Bhusahan, that has been confirmed to be conferred upon the Viswaroopam actor on Saturday, expectations grew among fans to know the reaction of Rajnikanth for his friend’s achievement, given the fact that both the stars have complimented each other for their respective achievements in the past.

A question on this regard was posed to Kamlahassan when he met the press on account of receiving the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. Kamal replied that Rajni was yet to wish him and he will get his wish only after all others finished conveying their wishes. He also stated that he follows the same principle when it comes to wishing his friend for his achievements.
