Recently, we saw how, following the cancellation of the audio release function of Kabali, there were speculations that Rajinikanth's health had been bad and which is why the audio function was called off. In the wake of such rumours becoming rife, the Superstar's family issued a clarification, saying that Rajini is in fine fettle. This calmed the anxious fans.

Once again, however, similar rumours have taken root. Across several sections of the media, there are reports that Rajini, who has a history of kidney-related problems (he underwent haemodialysis in 2011), has undergone a kidney-related surgery in the US. Some reports are claiming that his 2.0 director Shankar took the body measurements of Rajini before the actor left to the US for the surgery.

This has once again caused anxiety among Rajini's fans.
