Nani-starrer 'Ninnu Kori' may just have bet the Hindi-language thriller 'MOM'. Since the way collections are counted differs from one film to another, one can't say by what margin the Telugu film has surpassed the figure of 'MOM'.

If Nani's film collected Rs. 4.50 Cr on Day One (only domestic count), 'MOM' had to do with Rs. 2.50 Cr. This is despite the fact 'MOM' got released in as many as 1350 screens. The Telugu version got released in a mere 36 screens. 'MOM' couldn't get more than a quarter of occupancy in most theatres, trade analysts have said.

Meanwhile, 'NK' opened to a very positive reception in the Telugu States.
