Has 'Jawaan' got a 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' parallel with respect to Sai Dharam Tej's character? It's said that Sai Dharam Tej is playing the role of a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activist in this patriotic drama.

Not much should be read into the hero's RSS background in the film. In many of our Telugu movies, such backdrops are there only at a superficial level.

Writer-director BVS Ravi may or may not have been conscious of it, but the RSS reference has a parallel in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. In the Salman Khan-starrer, the hero hails from a 'pucca' RSS background complete with a father who nurtures him in the Sangh's ethos right from childhood. However, the story itself has nothing much to do with RSS or its cultural or political agenda.

In the same way, 'Jawaan' too may have nothing to do with RSS' ideology except to the extent that the hero owes his patriotism to his Sangh DNA.
