Popular culture has made the prospect of life on other planets exciting. If there are one or more alien civilizations, will they invade us or will we be in a position to conquest them? Questions like this abound.
The world’s largest radio telescope Sky Eye, owned by China, is suspected to have picked up signs of alien civilizations. Bloomberg has quoted Zhang as saying that Sky Eye is extremely sensitive in the low-frequency radio band and plays a critical role in the search for alien civilizations.
The news report has been hushed up for whatever reason. Commenting on the news, author Michael Salla wrote, "After decades of silence and obfuscation by NASA it would be ironic if China was the country to break ranks and announce the discovery of ET life."
Nothing can be said with certainty, experts opine. "The suspicious signals could, however, also be some kind of radio interference and requires further investigation," an expert has been quoted as saying by Bloomberg.
