A man allegedly slit a woman's throat with a surgical blade after she refused to marry him, and later slit his own throat.

The incident happened on June 3 in Haryana's Green Park area. The woman had arrived at the park with two of her friends when the accused showed up with a surgical blade and slit her throat after he apparently said, "You shouldn't have done this." Before her friends could try to catch him, the accused fled the spot and later stopped and slit his own throat, according to the victim's friends' statement. The woman is currently receiving treatment at a hospital while the man was declared brought dead. The man's family, however, have accused the woman of taking his life.

A complaint against the man has been registered under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC and a case has also been registered against the victim under Section 174 of the CrPC based on the accused's family's complaint. A probe is on to find out the actual criminal behind the acts.
