Its been a long since the biopic of Olympic gold medal winner Abhinav Bindra was announced. Actor Harshvardhan Kapoor was set to play the leading role. However, the project has been in development hell and nothing has been materialised yet. Few weeks ago, it was even rumored that the film has been shelved but Anil Kapoor soon dismissed the rumors. Recently, Harshvardhan opened up about the reasons of delay and shared an update about the schedule of the project.

He said, "The shooting hasn't started yet, it will begin this November or December in Chandigarh. Basically the reason why it has taken so long is because we have a new writer and director now. Simon, who wrote ‘Neerja'."

He further explained, "You're making a film about somebody who is alive and young and such a phenomenal athlete. He's the only person to have won Olympic gold individually ever as an Indian. So, it's a huge responsibility and you want to take your time to make the best possible film. You want to make sure that you're committing to a certain direction within the story. The shoot should definitely begin from the end of the year."
