British actor Tom Felton, who rose to fame through his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, was shifted to a local hospital after he collapsed while playing a celebrity golf exhibition at the Ryder Cup on Thursday.
The 34-year-old actor, who collapsed unexpectedly during the middle of the game, was immediately helped to his feet by the staff and spectators present at the stadium, placed on a stretcher and was later driven away in a golf cart. The organisers claimed that Felton experienced a medical incident at Whistling Straits. "In today's Ryder Cup Celebrity Match, actor and musician Tom Felton experienced a medical incident on the course while participating for Europe. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment," the PGA of America informed in a statement.
Tom Felton was representing Europe alongside Finland's former professional ice hockey player Teemu Selanne, in the Ryder Cup celebrity tournament at Whistling Straits. The duo was reportedly playing against 1980 US Olympic hockey captain Mike Eurzione and Olympic speed skater Dan Jansen.
