The Ghostbusters movie was one of the biggest hits in the history of Hollywood, be it the dry and one-liner comedic-slang from CGI Egon`s role or the action-packed tone, the movie is an all-rounder for an action movie-buff.

However, the actor who played the role of Egon has passed away recently and the role of Egon for the upcoming sequel of Ghostbusters was first proposed to the daughter of the deceased actor.

She responds to the proposal saying

“It`s bizarre. Personally, for me, it is hard to imagine that people would accept it, but who knows. The technology now is amazing.”

“I try to think what would he have thought. If it`s great and it works, then good. And if there is a problem, then obviously no.” Violet Ramis Stiel adds.

Since the answer is more like a polite-no, the production house is on the hunt for the actor that would fit the role and just blend with the feel of the movie and not remain as an outcast.
