It's known that a civil liberties group based in Hyderabad has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Telangana High Court over its suspicions that Pallakonda Raju, the rape-accused in the Singareni Colony incident, was killed in an instance of custodial murder. The police had said earlier this week that Raju died by suicide.
Director Harish Shankar has questioned the rationale behind the PIL. The 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' director, taking to Twitter, asked if the 6-year-old rape victim, who is dead, hasn't got any human rights. He described Raju as a beast and indicated that such a person can't have any human rights. "Mrugaala kosam, maanava hakkula sangham," he wrote.
Meanwhile, Telangana Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy, reacting to the PIL and several suspicions raised, ruled out any element of custodial death or encounter. He iterated today that Raju's death was caused by suicide.
As for Harish Shankar, he will kickstart the shooting of 'Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh' soon. Starring Pawan Kalyan, its female lead is said to be Pooja Hegde. With music by Devi Sri Prasad, it is produced by Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni.
