One of the most celebrated Indian cricketers, off-spinner Harbhajan Singh who has played in the Indian National team as well as the Chennai super kings under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni revealed that he was once a very shy person.
Harbhajan has revealed in a recent interview that Dhoni used to be shy until the 2008 series in Australia where everyone came together. Bhajji revealed that MS Dhoni was a quiet person who didn't talk much with teammates during overseas tours, but after the Sydney Test match in 2008 which had the infamous incident of Harbhajan racially abusive Andrew Symonds, things changed.
Harbhajan said that the controversial match united the team together and following this tour MS Dhoni started interacting with his India teammates. Harbhajan added that he used to hang out with a gang which included Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra, and Dhoni was very shy and never came to their rooms. After the incident, Dhoni opened up to teammates, but still, even after becoming the captain he is still a quiet guy who gives space for players, said Harbhajan.
