Vijayashanthi lauds lady SI whose father was inspired by Kartavyam

Recently, Kasibugga's Sub-Inspector Sirisha, who is posted in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, was in the news when images of her carrying the body of an abandoned old man on the outskirts of a village in Palasa went viral. The news is that senior politician and yesteryear superstar actress Vijayashanthi has lauded the SI for her sense of duty.

The senior artist, who recently made a comeback with Mahesh Babu's 'Sarileru Neekevvaru', said that it was her movie 'Kartavyam' that had inspired Sirisha's father to make his daughter a cop. "I am very happy that a movie that I acted in has inspired someone to make his daughter a socially-conscious police officer. I appreciate Sirisha for going beyond the call of her duty in serving the people," Vijayashanthi wrote on Twitter.

A report said that the abandoned body was taken care of by the SI when none turned up to do the needful.
