Producer Bellamkonda Suresh on Monday held a presser with his son, Ganesh, who recently debuted with 'Swathi Muthyam'. Speaking on the occasion, he thanked the audience for making the family entertainer a hit. He said that he is glad that Sithara Entertainments introduced his son.
"When the movie was released on October 5, which was a Wednesday, we were disappointed with the openings. The Day 2 collections also scared us a bit. But the film has been doing very well since Friday. The collections so far are more than expected. There is a Chiranjeevi garu's hit movie. There are also the rains. Despite these, 'Swathi Muthyam' is a hit. Rao Ramesh garu, Goparaju Ramana garu, Naresh garu, Surekha Vani and also the heroine (Varsha Bollamma) have all done very well. The story is the hero of the film," Suresh said.
He recalled his banner's association with star director VV Vinayak, who also happened to introduce his elder son Bellmakonda Sreenivas in films with 'Alludu Seenu' in 2014.
Suresh recently re-released the Balakrishna-starrer 'Chennakesava Reddy' in theatres. The film minted Rs 5.46 Cr (Gross) as per the producer. The collections have been contributed to the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital.
