HAPPY NEW YEAR – This is the 15th production of Sowmya films in Kannada. Smt Vanaja Patil and her husband actor, politician and director BC Patil given opportunity for young Pannagabharana, son of reputed director TS Nagabharana to direct this film.

It has a slum to software theory with five track story – a multi star cast cinema with renowned name in music Raghu Dixit scoring music.

The five stories and five pairs in a family entertainer cinema Happy New Year` is hitting silver screen on coming Friday 5th of May all over Karantaka.

BC Patil plays to his permanent image of Kaurava` and he is a ruffian with very soft heroine from Russia Margarita. It is in this film father BC Patil introducing his daughter Srushti Patil. For Srushti the software role played by Diganth is counterpart, Vijaya Raghavendra a police constable is paired with Sonu Gowda, dialogue king Saikumar of over 200 films is Show room Manager and Sudharani is his pair. Dhananjay a radio jockey is paired with Shruthi Hariharan.

For this Sowmya Films Srisha Kuduvalli handled cinematography. Malavika Avinash, Rockline Venkatesh, Kaddipudi Chandru, Tabla Nani, Raju Thalikote, Rajsri Ponnappa are also in the cast.
