'Happy New Year' gets 'U'

This comes no surprise that Farah Khan's much awaited Diwali big screen treat Happy New Year' has bagged U' from Censor Board. Not just the film trade who's banking on this year's Diwali big release to do its magic at the ticket counter but also the audience is looking forward to this film to get entertained and make their festivities Happier. Taking the happiness quotient forward here's the news that Farah Khan's HNY has been passed with U certificate by the Censor Board of Certification.

Talking about this in a media interview, film's hero and producer Shah Rukh Khan stated, "We, at RCE, have always believed in making a film which can be enjoyed by one and all. And with U certificate attached to the film it is only going to enhanced the potential and appealright from the kids to youngsters to adults. From the day Farah and I decided to make Happy New Year, we wanted it to be a wholesome family entertainer and now with Censor's U certificate on it, we can proudly say that this Diwali go out with your family and watch Happy New Year because as the title the film is a happy one."

"I always believed in making an entertaining film to be enjoyed by not just one section or age-group but everyone. I always keep this in mind even when I'm writing or bringing my writing material to the celluloid. This Diwali, I as a director bring this Family Wholesome Entertainment and I hope that Happy New Year will make this a Happy Diwali for every family," said Farah Khan.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd., Happy New Year' also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff. The film is slated to release on 24th October 2014.
