Happy day for Suriya

  • IndiaGlitz, [Monday,July 23 2007]

Suriya is one of the rare talents in the industry, who has come up the hard way.

The actor, who is celebrating his birthday today, has emerged a sought after star in Tamil film industry, thanks to his successive hits.

In spite of his father Sivakumar, being a successful actor in Tamil once, success did not come quite easily for Suriya. After almost half-a-decades wait, Suriya reached the pinnacle thanks to director Bala's Nandha in which he played an angry young man's role.

From then on, he did not look back. His successive hits in Kaakha Kaakha, Pithamagan, Peralagan, Aaru, Ayudha Ezhuthu, and Jillunu Oru Kadhal have taken him to great heights.

Be it a tough cop, a rustic youth or an unconventional handicap, Suriya does it with charm and grace.

According to him,” All my failures were the steppingstones to my success. I pick my characters after a lot of thought and I observe a lot of things happening around me to give justice to my roles”.

The actor, who is married to Jyothika, is currently shooting for Vel, directed by Hari. Also in the cards is a movie tiled Varanam Aayiram, directed by Gowtham Menon.

Mega blood donation camps and distribution of welfare measures to the poor were organized as part of his birthday by his fans association.

We from Indiaglitz, wish Suriya a happy and joyous birthday.
