Eight film in a span of 9 years may not be an enviable number, but actor Vishnu, who was born as Manchu Vishnu Vardhan Babu, this day in 1981, has carved a niche for himself during his 8-year stint in films.

His first film, Vishnu, which fetched him a Filmfare Award for the best debutante, was released in 2003. However, it was Game, where he shared the screen space with Mohan Babu, that helped him prove himself.

Dhee, released in 2007, was a shot in the arm for the budding actor. Though he has not had a hit in the past three years, he is raring to produce a prestigious film, which is based on the epic Ramayana, to be directed by K Raghavendra Rao, very soon. The mega-budgeted film will become a feather in his cap for sure.
