The young director who has directed 'Podaa Podi' and 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' has made a mark for himself by portraying modern relationships in a uniquely entertaining way.
 
His first directorial venture 'Podaa Podi' starring Simbu in the lead role portrayed the story of two youngsters living in an urban city trying to wade through their tumultuous relationship. The film became a hit among the Tamil audience, especially among the youngsters as the characters and the themes the movie depicted was very relatable to millennial couples. Vignesh then directed 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' which became a massive success and a high grosser. The film which had its quirky and funny moments, did not fail to deliver amazing performances from its lead artists Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. 

'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' not only catapulted Vignesh's career graph, but also helped him find love in actress Nayanthara. 

Vignesh Shivan's next film 'Thaana Serndha Koottam' with actor Suriya playing the lead role is a much anticipated movie by fans which is set to hit the screens January next year.
