Puri Jagannath, who turns 46 today, has more crests and troughs than any other director or actor in Telugu Film Industry. He burst into the big scene with his debut film 'Badri' with Pawan Kalyan but made a strong statement with Ravi Teja's 'Idiot'. The director shot up to fame with continuous hits and has seen his peaks with Mahesh Babu starrer 'Pokiri'. The graph declined steeply after that and the once most sought after director quickly became a second rung.

But the fighter he is, attempts to strike back. His uncanny knack in convincing a star immediately after his blockbuster (Mahesh Babu after Dookudu, Pawan Kalyan after Gabbar Singh, Allu Arjun post Julayi, even Nithin and Vishnu after their career best films) in spite of his own disastrous form gives him that hope to come back and deliver.

Stars who worked with Puri have openly admitted that he’s got a great mesmerizing effect on them. And a thorough workaholic, he is famous for his completion of work in less than the scheduled call sheets, often complained by the super stars. Like they say referring to his guru RGV, 'Love him or Hate him… But you can’t ignore him…' Industry needs him to deliver a success coz he is the one director who can visualize the final film in his mind frame.

IndiaGlitz wishes the director who'd rewritten the production structure working backwards on the screenplay, one writer who'd created a character and the quirky one liners that many writers follow, imitate or just rewrite even today… The Director Puri Jagannath a great Birthday and wishes him to deliver success soon and reclaim his position in TFI.
