The smart guy, the bad guy, the funny guy, the emotional guy, the ladies’ man, the family man, the charitable man. . .phew! Okay, you know what, we’re really stopping right there. The man is Suriya, the ever handsome hunk of Kollywood who is celebrating his birthday today. A loud Happy Birthday to Suriya!
Can you believe that it’s his 43rd birthday? One of the reasons that we love him is for his inimitable style and suave. Be it ‘Mounam Pesiyadhe’ with his rugged demeanour, or ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ where we fell in love with his romantic gestures, Suriya has managed to pull every sort of role convincingly. For instance, giving an equally powerful performance alongside Vikram in ‘Pithamagan’ wouldn’t have been an easy task.
From being a lad with ‘next door guy’ look to someone who has become the heartthrob of ladies, Suriya’s portifolio has variance, experimentation and also commercial viability. But again, we never complain of his glaring behaviourial mechanisms seep into almost every characters that he portrays. We actually relate to that and even like it, that is where he scores. He gives us variety without making us forget what he is.
Talking about Suriya will not be complete without talking about his body. You could say that Suriya is the first actor down Kollywood to bring the six pack culture and elevated the acceptable ‘average looks’ among youngsters. Many gyms, if you visit- is sure to have at least one semi-naked poster of teh actor flashing his chiseled abs in glory.
One other area where we see Suriya work relentlessly is through his charity work Agaram foundation. He has helped a lot of lives become better through his organisation and we wish him the very best to continue doing so.
One of the biggest projects that we’re expecting is his ‘NGK’ with director Selvaraghavan which is set for a festive Diwali release. We wish him the best of wishes for a much more successful, prosperous career ahead!
