Today is the 31st birthday of G.V. Prakash Kumar who entered the Tamil people's hearts as the child voice of "Chikku bukku Railey" song composed by his uncle A.R. Rahman. Barely in his teens he debuted as music composer in 'Veiyil' directed by Vasantha Balan and produced by Shankar making a great impression instantly. The musical journey is filled with constant hits for films featuring the top superstars such as Rajini, Ajith, Vijay, Vikram, Karthi and others. His USP is delivering a hit album as opposed to a few songs.

As an adult GVP first tested the onscreen waters by appearing for songs in 'Kuselan' with Rajini and 'Thalaivaa' with Vijay and then debuted as hero with 'Darling' in 2015 giving a hit and followed it up with 'Trisha Illana Nayanthara' among others with his recent 'Semma' too well received by the audiences.

As far as recent years are concerned G.V. Prakash has the most number of films in his kitty which is the same this year too. His upcoming releases are 'Sarvam Thaala Mayam', 'Kuppathu Raja', 'Adangathey', '4G', 'Ayngaran' and '100% Kadhal'. The exciting lineup of films the musical star has signed includes films by Vasantha Balan, Gopi Nainar and Sasi. On the musical front GVP has got on board 'Suriya 38' directed by Sudha Kongara of 'Irudhi Suttru' fame. Here is wishing the exuberant all rounder G.V. Prakash Kumar a happy birthday and many many more years of good health, cheer and entertainment ahead.
